President's Corner

Butch promises that one day he will provide something for this section.  I won't be holding my breath waiting.  I suggest that you don't either.  The club does send it's condolences to the family of Danny McKinney of Northgate Optimist Club.  Danny passed away suddenly and he will be sorely missed.  The club also hopes for the speedy recoveries of Walt Phillips and Don Wooten, both of whom have been recently hospitalized.

Present and Accounted For

Present for  the November 17th meeting were Butch, Barb, Mike, Melody, Kevin, Ann, Austin and Ken.  Attendees at the November 24th meeting were Butch, Barb, Mike, Ann, Lott, Linda, Chris and Ken.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Ken and Chris delivered Thanksgiving Baskets to deserving and happy families on November 21st.  You can see the pictures in this bulletin.  The best part is someone won't be going hungry this Thanksgiving and makes our efforts worthwhile.

Visitation

The first visitation of the year will be with the World Famous Bel Air Optimist Club on the 3rd of December at 7 pm.  If you've never been there then you are in for a treat because they are a bunch of wild crazy guys.  That's right, guys.  No women at      Bel Air.

Rummage Sale

The first fundraiser of the year was a huge success with the club making $410.95.  Minus the $50 donation for the church we took in a cool $360.95.  Better than painting curbs.

Changes to Bylaws

By-Law changes were accepted by Optimist International and are now official.  If you want to read the accepted copy, see Ken at one of the meetings.
